Lenita M. AuBuchon focuses her legal practice, Aubuchon Law, LLC, in the area of estate planning with an emphasis on elder law issues. For over 30 years, her passion has been to assist individuals and families in developing a comprehensive estate plan using sound legal counsel that ensures peace of mind. Lenita has been helping her clients for so long that she is now trusted to represent the next generation of her clients’ families with their estate plans and other legal issues. Lenita likes to make her time with her prospective clients comfortable and convenient. That is why you often find her at someone’s kitchen table instead of in a conference room.
At AuBuchon Law, LLC, Lenita provides guidance to her clients, who need to take care of their loved ones' affairs. To this end, she handles guardianships, Medicaid planning, probate proceedings, and estate and trust administrations. She collaborates with other professionals such as geriatric care managers, social workers, accountants, and financial planners.
Education and Credentials
Lenita is committed to educating the senior community. In 2021, she was appointed as the chair of the Elder Law Section of the DuPage County Bar Association. This committee allows educational opportunities to other legal professionals on the important aspects of elder law. She also frequently speaks to local professional and community groups on various senior issues.
Lenita loves to spend time with her family, having game nights with her cousins, gardening, and walking her daughter’s two rescue lab pups, Thelma and Louise. Both are very sweet but still so naughty.
